Default Introducing....

Evening all, thought i'd introduce myself.
I live on the North Devon coast & fish in & around the Taw/Torridge Estuary.
Up until this season I've fished with plugs, mainly surface lures & done ok, but this year i've moved over to the fly.
So far, no good! Although to be fair it's been pretty slow anyway.
I've joined up to try and learn as much as i can, so feel free to chip in.
I'm pretty happy with the kit side of things, Shakespear Atlantis #8, secondhand Orvis Battenkill LA IV & Rio Outbound Floating Line & secondhand Intermediate.
The main thing that the sea has exposed is my casting, so some lessons are planned over the next couple of weeks.
I've already enjoyed having a good look through the section.

You fish in my neck of the woods.
The Bass fishing has been a bit hit an miss this year.
Try using fairly small clousers for the Bass with chartreuse over white and working well over the sand.
For lessons look no further the Pete at The Devon School of Fly Fishing.

Thanks for the welcome lads.
Despite the lack of sucess, i'm loving it so far, and a few fish can only improve things.
A good friend of mine had a good winter fishing the lifeboat slip at appledore for cod.
All caught at pretty close range, but i guess that's for next winter.
