Default fly fishing north east coast

Hi ozzy all I can say is go out to these areas check with the local tackle dealers and ask what's happening and where; you could try dropping Fly Fishing Forums - View Profile: Grommit a pm his tackle shop is in Morpeth. Noel

there is a few lads that swff in the northeast that i know of that have taken fish from whitley pipe, blyth beach and around the wansbeck estuary/north cambois areas in the summer,
theres regularly pollack and coalies taken from dunstanborough castle on spinners/lures so might be worth a look with a fly rod

The north gare, tees mouth used to be good at one time
also any rocky outcrops like redcar scars should be Ok low tide marks.

Off the rocks just off Dunstanburgh Castle between Craster and Embleton is fantastic

I don't remember the name of it but there is the powerstation on the coast around there which might be worth a try for you with the warm water.

I'm about to give it a go from the Tweed estuary, north to Toreness power station. It looks very promising and I've heard the power station produces bass regularly and of course there is the mackerel all along that stretch of coast line not to mention sea trout and salmon.
