Default Mallorca harbour fly fishing... any experience?

Evening all,
I'm going to the east coast of Mallorca in the med. in early May this year. There are shallow harbours and bays.
Taking the 6-weight travel rod and floating line (with 200m gelspun backing).

Any suggestions on what size&pattern flies might be worth packing -for a #6 weight setup to target Mullet? I have read bread flies work well, but would prefer to catch using a natural imitation.
I guess Mullet would be the fish of choice, but anything else worth looking out for?

Thanks in advance, Andy

Look for a shoal of feeding Mullet to give yourself the best chance of success, obvious by the way they move across the surface of the water.
Present your flies immediately ahead of them and use a slow retreive. Flies which have worked for me include; Klinkhammers, black PT nymph, brown epoxy shrimpand Corophium imitations, all size 12. Bass can be a bit of a nuisance, taking the flies intended for Mullet.
I use Seagur, 11.5lb upwards, as the Mullet run to double figures.
Take some small sparse DNA Clousers to explore around rocks and break waters for Bass and Palometta.

Colin

Heading out to Mallorca myself - can I ask you how you went on?
