Well, the naysayers were telling me there were 'no fish' off Cable Beach, Nassau where I am staying and working.

So, I rigged up my wee Orvis Frequent Flyer I bagged off Tanjipete, stuck one of Chris Saltwater Fly Shack's gotcha fly and caught a small jack on about my 15th cast. Dropped another one too.

And all from the small rocky break-water in front of the Hotel I am staying in.

Also saw a hefty Lionfish finning in front of where I had just climbed out of the water


Hoping to get out deep for some dorado on Sunday.


And, I sh!t you not, someone has invited me on his 46ft Bertrams on Saturday to go fishing and he will also have a woman on board that he intends photographing whilst out on the boat...........'those' kind of photographs. Very artistic too I will have you know



And they say the Bahamas are boring
