Default Hook and Materials Help

Need to tie some SW flies and am in dire need of help regarding hooks and materials.

First pic I'd like to know what hook and in what size to order. Hook length is +/- 26mm and gape is +/- 9mm . Hook also needs to be stainless.

Next picture, I need the pink material. Any ideas as to what it is ?

Also what size dumb bells to order for the above

With the risk of opening up a can of worms - why specifically stainless steel?

Hook - size 4 O'Shuanessy bend, various makes. Mustad 34007 or equivilent.
Pic 2 - Calf tail
Pic 3 - mono over flat tinsel or mylar

The eyes on pic 2 and 3 are just standard beadchain.

I've never tied any SW flies and thought that stainless was the way to go. Perhaps I'm way off mark

Many thanks MJB. Any forum trade members on here who are likely to have those hooks and materials in stock ?

They are corrosion proof yes, there are other options though like Carbon. One might be better with a break off as it will rust out of the fishes mouth pretty quickly. I'm no scientist though and havent done any sort of detailed research. But there are other options for SW Flies.
