Anybody got any experience of Salmon / Sea Trout on the Royalty and surrounding areas ? My fishing buddy and I are hoping to have a bash later in the year and fancy a go at the silver travellers whilst we are there. Any info on day tickets, beats, time of year, methods, fly / lure selection all gratefully received. I am afraid that BN is a total novice on this water but we all like a challenge ..........don't we? Thanks in advance...................birdsnest

Hi Birdsnest, have a look on the Christchurch angling club website. they seem to have the best water. Hopefully you can get into one of the 'portmanteaux' of old.
