Default Calling scientists..

the following paper appears to have some very specific findings concerning salmon vision and their attraction to different flies. Obviously this will be of tremendous interest to salmon anglers and fly tyers.

Can anyone get hold of the full report?

Thanks

Hi RPS,
I should be able to, but not until Monday.

I'll let you know then.

In the context of this paper, 'salmon' refers to 'a sex-linked, maternally influenced, semi-lethal eye color mutant' of the tsetse fly. Not what you were hoping for I guess.

I was pulling a fly with a body of old tarnished tinsel, just gives off a subdued occasional twinkle, and wondered about attracting salmon/its changing vision. On returning I made a few searches and thought that I had genuinely found something of relevance.

Thanks anyway.
