hi guys,

new member here so a big hello to all.
i'm a reasonably experienced trout fly fisher and have caught my fair share over the years.i have caught a couple of salmon on spinner and worm but would really like to catch one on the fly. this has been my focus for the past few months and i have failed miserably.i can get in one last day before the season ends. can anyone suggest a day ticket beat in northeast scotland where i might have a chance of a fish at this time of year?

We fished the Deveron last week ,despite some filthy water we had six fish ,left it yesterday am looked perfect height and colour ,I am sure there would be great chances of getting on the Turriff association water .

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I've sorted out the day off work and so has my fishing buddie so we're planning on a day on the Deveron. Looks like a cracking river. With a bit of luck,my last attempt of the season might just be the one that finally gets the result.....
I'll let you know how I fare.

My 4 fish of a few weeks ago all came on smalliish flys if thats any help ,got them down a bit though !

Pity the Nith is too far, good chance of Salmon on the fly, especially Dalswinton beat,
only problem most beats booked solid at this time of year,
Another bonus is, the Nith does not close till the 30th November.
