Default River Annan

Thinking about heading down to the Annan on Thursday to fish Royal Four Towns. Any of you guys fished this beat lately?

The catch reports look really good and looks good value for money. Only draw back i can see is that it can get really busy.

Still after my first salmon of the season believe it or not.

Never fished it but it looks a pretty uninspiring bit of fly water. i believe it gets a lot of attention from worm fishers. I'd check out Fishannan and maybe seek out one of the beats further up.

I have fished it many years ago , the bottom end has some fly water. Sadly at the time i only fished worm or tobys , used to go up pike fishing and have the odd day on the fourtowns. I remember the year after the Lockerbie disaster netting a 25lber for a 10 year old he caught it on a silver Toby . My total in 4 days different years , 1 at 8lb, 1 at 17lb .
