Wink Drowes Salmon Fishery

I am going to the Drowes river at lareen (Co, Donegal) to fish for salmon next weekend and i was wondering what flies would work best? thanks for any suggestions

Fished it for many years with my Dad. Loved opening days which is always 1st January. Despite the cold you always had a good time and then went home after the first salmon of the season in Ireland was caught. Never happened to me though. A Silver Rat was very popular with the fish there but people just used to spin till the water level dropped.

Green Butt Cascade is a must Collie Dogs, Yellow/Orange Flamethrowers, Collie Dog tubes, Cascade coneheads, Green highlanders, all in sz 6/8s and half inch tubes Report ack on how ye get on
