Default Allan water catch returns and recomended guidlines

I have just been on the allan water website and they now have updated catch returns for last season aswell as recomended guidlines for the forthcoming season, that i thought may be of intrest to some on here. http://www.allanwaterangling.co.uk/

just as expected really as you will know yourself every river struggled this year and the Allan was no exception. lets hope things pick up next year and still not bad for the money The one thing that took me by supprise was that sea trout numbers were up on last year!!

Yes, numbers were down, a pretty poor grilse run as said most rivers suffered the same.
What I would say is there seemed to be more bigger fish (salmon) than normal.
Sea trout:
I took my nephew up one day in late May and he had 4 sea trout all around the 3lb mark, real beauts they were, I caught one the following week about 3.8oz another cracker, but no other sea trout after that.
