E,

Let me know when you're going next year, I'll be keen to try this out. I've read before that these spots are good for decent sea bass on the tide, as well as good sized sea trout and salmon. Thanks for sharing.

Nick

I've got a map showing some of the spots people fish for salmon below the Woodmill Pool.

Do you have any more information, e.g. do people do well in these spots below Woodmill Pool?

I posted the details as fishing to salmon and sea trout in the tidal Itchen as it allows people to have a shot at them even though they will more likely catch bass.

I got a lot of angry emails telling me I shouldn't reveal details of the spot so I did.

You can connect with people on the face to face meetup www.flyfishingforum.co.uk and they may tell you in person about this and other sea trout and salmon in the south coast tidal rivers.

I would suggest that you tell the angry people to ****** off, if they think people can't work out this out for themselves and that it's not already common knowledge then they've got a screw loose! Fish 'X' for £200/night, or fish 20 yards away for nowt, not really rocket science is it?
