Default What the hell should i do??

Hi all, i have a massive problem.!

As some may know, i wasn't able to go to Iceland this year and as such haven't wet a line for salmon all year. :-( I have just been invited for an all expenses paid 4 day trip to the Tweed this weekend!!! Now normally, i wouldnt be typing this as i'd be on my way, but i have a7 week old baby...

do i just suck it up, miss the trip, and look forward to next year or do i beg beg and beg some more to the wife.? and beg some more? I'm guessing there may be some red fish about, but that the river'll be full of fish just itching to chomp on my conehead?!?!

What's the worst that can happen if you go?

Surely your wife will understand that you will be like a bear with a sore head if you don't go! I agree with Sandy, ask grandparents to muck in while you are away, and promise your wife that if she really needs you, you'll drop everything and return early (yeah right). Alternatively you could tell her you've been invited for a week, but you've told your host that you couldn't possibly do more than 4 days as you will want to get home to your wife and baby etc... that'll sound like you are caring and considerate!

Go fishing, life's too short...

Hmmm it is logical.
1. The child will not miss you.
2. Your wife is exhausted and needs help
3. You are being offered 4 days of free Tweed fishing.
4. You hire a 4 day nanny at good money---you are going to the Tweed for nothing.
5. Hang work and go - one day you will die.

Go...take the wife and baby....

But have rules....Fishing time is ring fenced.....

Book a nice hotel with nanny service....

Book the tired wife into the spa....

Everybody happy

This plan probably costs more than the fishing however....
