Default The Ultimate

Ok boys and girls,

Money no object what is the ultimate double handed rod / floating line combination? I know we all have different requirements and levels of ability but what rod and line should I buy to help me cast like the bloke I was watching at Sportfish the other day? i.e. An effortless country mile.
A 15' rod with floating line but which ones? Like I say, money no object. I know some of the ghillies can cast a broom handle 35 yards but what combo would help an average Joe like myself the most?

Reg Wyatt

ps. Purely hypothetical as I'm almost totally skint....

My line cost not much less than my rod. Rio afs shooting head, daiwa wilderness rod 240 quid all in but by a country mile the best money spent was 60 quid for 3 hours professional instruction, basic single/snake roll spey casting is so simple it's unreal but i really dont think its something you can teach yourself

£20 quid on a casting lesson will get you casting a broom handle further than a Mackenzie DTX if you don't have one.

As already mentioned, a couple of hours casting tuition, and it wont matter the price of the tackle!
