Steve Bracken from Marine Harvest, Scotland's largest salmon producer, said ' there was not enough evidence to suggest that parasites - known as sea lice - were responsible for any declines in wild fish stocks.'

Marine harvest and the Scottish Salmon growers Association have been saying this since 1986 when the first fish went into the Loch Ewe site, since then the catch returns on Loch maree went below 15 %.According to Scientists this is Practical extinction with no big spawning fish returning, it will be interesting to see the **** these people can spread, the local fishery trust depends on the Fish farms for some finance, so we have a weak trust not speaking out against the salmon farmers, the last chairman of the trustwas an ex salmon farmerand previous to that a local land owner who rented land to the salmon farms, as well as being the riparian owner of a local fishery, dont be fooled about the 1,000s of jobs as most of these farms have cut staffing to the bone.
now theer is proof that Atlantic salmon Diseases are affecting pacific salmon, Infectious Salmon anaemia has been found in Juvenile sockeye salmon, look at Alexandra Mortons site, easker1

I await your detailed evidence.

Ahh so it's your opinion, and not factually based on any evidence then?

So it's not necessarily the 'truth' in any shape or form then....

I also happen to know, through first hand experience and not hearsay, that many people actively campaigning against fish farms spout copious amounts of shoyt.

I have never been more wrong in my life. Truth / opinion - i don't know the difference and now i know so let's move on.

As you seem to be in the know then please enlighten us all - prove who is spouting sh(te ? I don't confess to know who is so please - let's have names, quotes and all the necessary information to back up your claims.
