Default River Endrick

Hi, im fishing a beat on the river endrick in a few days, it's the one around the potts of gartness, does anyone out there know of the salmon flies to tie for this as i would love to get my firs salmon on the flee?

If it's the potts then it's not really good for the fly.most fish are caught with worms /shrimp/flying C,dropped into the falls pool.Downstream might be a bit better for the fly.
At this time of year it should be stuffed with fish.but recent high water might have allowed fish to get over the falls.

Ally's shrimps/flamethrowers are all you need.red/orange/yellow.

That should do the trick.you should get away with a single handed rod as it's not a big river.

Loads of fish coming over the Potts last night. The bit you are on is above the potts and the fish tend to run right through very quickly. Look for some resting spots and hammer them. There wont be many but thefish will use them after coming over the falls.

Im a beginner salmon fisher as i usually do stockie bashing on the lake and carron, so im looking forward to it, problem is, i dont tie many samon flies, ive onyl done a box of tubes and a box of irish salmon flies which were for my holiday, can you use marabou bloods instead of bucktail?

They're like shrimps with GP tails and that sort of thing on sz 14 and 12 dbls
