Default Salmon on a shoestring...!!!

Hi Everyone

I'm very fortunate to be going to Ireland next week for work from Sunday October 2nd, due to the nature of my work I'm driving across and will spend about two weeks driving the length and breath of the country.

Having looked around for Trout fishing, I realised this might be a good opportunity to try my hand at some salmon fishing as well. (first time)

However my budget for the fishing itself is quite Limited, having looked at the Fishpal/fishinginireland websites I understand that it is possible to fish the Ballymoney burn in Northern Ireland for around £7 per day and a couple of others in the same area for similar price, ie the Rhee/Agivey. and also Loughs agency waters for reasonable prices

So I have a couple of questions:

Do these rivers have runs of salmon, or are there better options remembering budget constraints

What selection of salmon flies are recommended for a beginner.

As my fishing will be restricted to a day here and there what are the best Licence/permit options to cover both trout and salmon

any other info would be greatly appreciated..!!!!
