Default My First Salmon

Following on from Mctrouts first Salmon i thought i'd share the pictures of my first........so happy and never thought i'd ever actually get one on the fly. Most amazing experiance in fishing that i've ever had.

Hope the image comes up ok.....i tend to get it wrong!

Lucky to get a second the following day on a cascade....it was a smaller fish that had been in the river for a couple of weeks.

Massive thanks to Kingfisher28 & ACW on here and all others that offered me advice before i went. I want more now though.....that's the problem!

Thats mint, looks really fresh, nice one!

Where were you fishing? It looks immense.

I know what you mean, I thought that once I caught one I'd get over the ridiculous urge, the exact opposite has happened. Already planning a week off at the end of October!

Well done mate ,they will start coming ,but that first fish will always be part of your memories!
Shame I had not the time to dress you some heavy bottle silkies ,those I sent you were sort of aimed for summer low water.
