Has anyone ever fished the upper reaches of the River Forth for Salmon using the fly.

Almost everyone who I have met up there uses spinners, lures and worms.

I really fancy trying it with the fly, but get the feeling I might be wasting my time.

Does anyone have experience of using the fly up there?

I was up a couple of times with the fly and met a couple of anglers that said there were other fly anglers up quite regularly.

Alot of the guys up there use mainly spinner and worm so wasn't sure what the deal was with the fly up there.
