Been out today, the river was still at a good height. No sign of any Salmon so I fished for Troot - got 3 Brownies, best about a pound, plus 4 dace.

Lost a couple of good fish as well.

Not a bad session.

Their is fish trying to get past the Teesbarrage because i have been watching the seals eat them.
The water on the Tees at Egglestone looked perfect for any running fish on Sunday when i was at the kielder tunnel.

Fished the Tees yesterday, water at a good height for salmon - I tried every lure in the box. No salmon, or any sign of a salmon...........

I did manage a lovely Brown trout about a pound and a half on a mepps, which I returned.

No sign of any salmon yesterday, cast my Mepps for an hour - nout. Not even a follow from an out of season troot.

Switched to fly and got 7 fish in 90 mins - best a couple of 1/2lb grayling. Had a good fish on in a fast run but it came off..............

I have not seen a salmon or seatrout this year on the Tees or Esk...................apart from the Finnock I caught on the Esk!

Where are they?
