I am looking for a good and exclusive salmon destinationo early October 2011 - any advice? Any great place in Scotland for such late date?

In any case, it does not seem like there is any rod left on the Tweed...

Plenty means lot's. I'm sorry that the tweed appears full.There is usually some rods available for sale.
The bottom end of the aberdeenshire Dee is now extended into October.The North tyne is a good bet for a fish or 2.The Nith and Annan.are good.The Tay is still open.

Full? Sorry that link didn't work. Look up FishPal, Scotland, Tweed and October 2011 and there are loads of rod available. Hmm, perhaps they are the lesser beats though, not as exclusive as you'd like.

However if you are looking at the best parts, then Jims point re a lot of money becomes the focus!
Agree with Jim re Nith.
check same fishpal site for available beats, but my favourite bit of river late October, is Mid nithsdale angling association, wont be listed on fishpal, but is listed on Nith web sites.
permits for week are available through pets larder in thornhill.
