Default My first Grilse

Well, as the title suggests, today I landed my first Sea-Liced Grilse at approximately 4lb.
I'm still grinning like a fool and I got it 8hrs ago!

It's a joyous moment, my first bar of proper silver in 25years of salmon fishing on and off.

I'll pop a picture up if I ever figure out how to!

***thanks for spelling correction!

I remember my first one too, close to 35 years ago aged 10, top end of River Cairn, bottom half of Cottage pool, size 0 copper mepps.
Had many in between, much like girlfriends, but you never forget the first.

Caught on the South Tyne, but here's where the tragedy starts.
My photos didn't save on the memory card and it looks like my happy moment is in my memory only which I'm a bit upset about.

I also think I've broken my digital camera after getting caught in a very heavy downpour and not realising it was in my outer pocket.

£110 gone in one afternoon but it was worth it!

Twice??

Makes coke look like Cif.

Mine was a red 9lb cock, caught on the troll in Lough Corrib. I'd had 3 pike and a perch on the rapala and thought i had another, when that fish came up in the water i could have cried...

You never forget your first one.
