Default Norwich blanks

Hello guys, for those of you who have missed my (hello from NL) post, i'm Jerry and am a passionate rod building (assembling is a better word i guess) junky and offcourse a hardcore flyfisherman (not that easy coming from Holland and all).

Well i'm currently in the last stage of assembling up a T&T whisperlite but i'm looking for my next projekt and was thinking of going with something from Europe. I so far only tried Gatti for European blanks but got very interrested in the Norwich EV2 blanks.
Have any of you have some comment about the sanded (no finish blanks), i build one from Steffen Bros in the past and really liked that. Also i would like to know what is your favorite and why? I like rods from slow to fast but i'm always curious about the more custom blanks like , Steffen Bros, Burkheimer and offcourse D. Norwich.

Excuse my crappie English, but thanks in advance.

Jerry

For those that are interrested here are a couple of pictures of the Whisper Lite i just madeit is a 8,6ft #4. I finished her up with H&H guides all the way.

The handle is made from the best cork chives i can get my hands on, i also love to have it a little like original (rod tube) and nice and clean.

The tread is Gudebrod A nylon Garnet withouth CP and the ferrule wraps have three silver spaced trims.

The reelseat is a U20 from Struble with an amboyna spacer wich i managed to recycle from an other build that wasn't quite to my liking

Wel i just love this little rod, i've build several T&T blanks and the fit and finish is perfect.
Tell me what you think and offcourse if you have a comment about those Norwich blanks please let me know.

I don't know much about David Norwich blanks personally, but plenty on here do and I'm sure you'll get all the info you need. I have heard they are very good.

The reason I'm really here is to say WOW dutchy you sure know how to build a fine rod. Fantastic workmanship matey...must be very rewarding.

I'm going to start my first fly rod build next week. God help me!

A few more pics of your builds would be very interesting.

Chris

Take a deep breath Chris and just take the plunge. Think over every step you are going to make and don't be afraid of mistakes we all make them and we get pretty good at hiding them as well .

Well i'm kind of a boring little fellow and most of the rods i make look alike.
Just keep asking the builders how and what they are doing, but doing it yourself is the best way to learn. And get ready to be addicted because this stuff is very addictive ..

I will post some new rods tommorrow, to tired right now.

Thanks for the compliment,

Jerry

Thanks Steve i noticed that, but thought i will put up a post just asking. Because i'm not in a hurry to build this one (i'm in the middle of three rods for the store) i didn't want to bother Mister Norwich.

Thanks for the reply,

Jerry
