Default Rat rods

Remade 5/6 8` rod. Bought in 90s, did a splendid job, snake rings, stripper destroyed after one summer, yet a nice blank and a lot of good memories.

Remade with use of ceramic guides, light sanding of blank, gentle spray over blank to have a mixture of olf surface and droplets of blak paint, golden surfaces on reel seat were dressed in cork to reduce shine. Very simple work on guides, thread with superglue. Ready for the new season. Rat rod due to its appearance. A rod optimised for stalking. Unfortunately black spray is not exactly mat although it should be. Have to fix that in future, a light sanding might do the trick.

Nice one.

I like workhorse rods with practicallity in mind rather than looks

Hope you catch plenty more fish on it.
