Default Glue used in grounded cork handles

I do not know if this is a correct term but in the past handles made of grounded cork in which small pieces of cork were connected with glue were used on cheaper rods. One glass sheakespeare model (alpha?) comes to mind. Would anyone know what was used as a glue?

It would be very difficult to manufacture at home as you would need a heated press like the type used for lamination or wood veneering.

Composite is a swine to turn , lasts forever and you only want it top and bottom of the handle where it is quite excellent !

Elsewhere , no !

best wishes

It withstands hooks being stuck in it quite well.
