Default Boo, #10-#12, need taper

Hi,

I am looking for a taper for bamboo rod, line weight #10 or more, preferably 9` or less, or perheaps a model, that used to be made or anything similar. Appreciate any help you can provide.

If you download the database from RODDNA High Sierra Rod Company - Bamboo Rod Design and Analysis (RodDNA) Software Page

amongst the 800 plus tapers are a 9 foot #11 weight, a 9 foot 6 inch #10 weight and numerous 9 weights.

Also Ray Gould's book 'Cane Rods Tips & Tapers' has a couple of 9 weights I could post if your interested. Hope you got strong wrists.

Pete

Thank you all for your help, found some interesting ones.

bbamboo,

i used to think that for example #10 in boo would be too heavy but after this weekend, when i had (as adam suggested) hollow built switch boo rod in my hands (11` if i remember exactly) i completly changed my mind, it was anything but heavy bean stick and since then i am playing with idea of boo pike/hucho rod. Sure it would be heavier as modern carbon rod, but still could be a lot of fun
