Is there anyone in the UK who makes steel planing forms for bamboo rods? It looks like my wife and I might be moving back to the UK and I really don't want to drag my planing form with me from the US as the shipping would be absurd. However, I'd be at a loss being without it for a few years.

I'd heard Lawrence Waldron used to make them but I'm not sure if he still does and I can't find any contact information for him other than his snail mail address.

Hi yes Lawrence used to make them at one time, But I dont know anyone who has purchased any from lawrence for years. i think he got to busy with the vices.
Any small enginering shop would make them for you, just take your plans in and ask for a quote first.
