I may go public with this design. the fly is a 'tamagotchi' special. Very traditional, catches nowt but very traditional.

The line appears to go back to some sort of 'reel' arrangement at the base of the light-sab........errrrr I mean, ahem.... rod. I though Tenkara had the line tied to the end of the wafty bit?

Ahh yes well. If you go back beyond the ling dynasty you find Tenkara rods being used with the traditional pritt stick reel. So, in fact, my rod is more traditional than the newbies you may have seen in popular publications of late. So there.
