Default Tip repair

I have now got 4 rods with broken tips and can't source spare tips.

Is there a thread that describes how to fit an insert or sleeve? .

If the break is near to the tip, you can simply take the tip ring off, by warming it with a lighter or some such, then superglue it onto the longer section which remains.

I'm with Treetrouter part of the way, but I'd use hot melt glue, That way you can get it off again (by warming) if you need to replace it.

Thanks but I'm pretty sure that the cost of repair would be more than the original cost of the rod. The rods were adequate and it irks me that they are just lying around when they could be used as ones to keep in the boot of the car or pass on as emergency spares for others.

No breaks below the top ring

That might work for a couple of them. Thanks.

People who live in budgie cages shouldn't throw goldheads.
