Default Help identifying rod guide please.

Hi,
On retiring a few years ago, my son gifted me a new Greyflex M2 11’7/8 fly rod.
Used only once before yesterday I found that I’ve damaged the butt piece lined stripping guide, I think I must have hit it against the boat seat. Greys want £40.00 handling charge to repair the ring !! Would anyone happen to know what make of guides were fitted to these rods? I’ve been to my local tackle dealers but can’t get one to match ( they are not a Greys dealership). I cant afford to pay the asking price of Greys so if I can source a guide I’ll try to get someone local to fit it for me.

Thanks in advance.

Can you put up a picture?

Some of the guide manufacturers have a distinctive look, while others all look pretty similar. Even if you can't get an exact match you should be able to be close.

Does the rod have 2 ceramics or only one? If one, they you're not trying to match one per se.

If you care about it matching, you could also wrap a second guide instead.

Thanks,
Rick

Pity you didn't buy British .

Show us a picture - I've likely got an odd one I took off of a rering !

If you're passing it is a 10 minute £5 job - but you have to do the varnishing after .

Best wishes
