Im not sure that Sage make them anymore - they are 3 generations old.

Secondhand rods come up for sale now and then and they sell for good prices. They were great rods.

You could try posting on a USA based fly fishing site if you are really dead set on tracking one down.

Hope this helps.

Hi Gareth

I would absolutely think about getting a more modern model. Even if you do manage to track one down, if you get a breakage you may not be able to easily get a replacement.

Also as squimp mentions, carbon blank manufacture has moved on a bit since the RPLX and there are some very nice options available now that will both be lighter and have better recovery rate.....not mention repairable.

Cheers

Steve

Don't know about recovery rate but rods seemed to get heavier after the rpl models. I have 2 of the 11'3" 6 weights and they are 3 and 5/8ths ozs, think they were the heaviest of the RPL trout rods. Not sure many of the current generation of similar size/line weight rods are any lighter and certainly not significantly.
