Darned interesting. I've seen staff's made out of several different materials, but Bamboo is a new one.

Looks so good, it would be shame to use it!

Beautiful.

Very nice, Gary. Been thinking about one myself but got stuck on the transport size. Is it a single piece and did you mount a metal pin on the end?

Regards,
Johan

Hi Yes the staff is impregnated they have to be really.
Made to the same taper as the original Sharpes models
The staff has a hollow tube end filled with lead for weight then finished with rubber walking stick end for stealth and grip.

Thanks guys

Gary

very nice. I like it a lot.

What is the U shape at the top for?

I once did a short, specialized trolling rod for a gun in NY. It was a 4' rod made from the top half of a fiberglass boat rod blank. That left me the bottom section to play with. As the blank was nice deep brown/orange, I used scarlet wraps and copper tipping to make a simple diamond wrap, some turned EVA for a custom grip (the guy who got it had birth defect hands), and a rubber foot. This particular gentleman was a good friend and had a lot of health issues. He loved to fish though and suffered through the pain. With the walking stick he was able to be much more independent and was able to walk around without as much help. Sadly, he passed a couple years ago.

Thanks
Rick
