For the information of any bamboo rodbuilders in the UK I've just come across a supplier of URAC 185 in Ireland:

FLYBOW

With postage to England a pint works out about 25 Euros.

I've not used it before but along with Epon it seems to be one of the most popular adhesives by American makers. I'm going to give it a try on my next couple of rods.

I will keep that on file, you never know when the Aerolite going to stop production.
I would like to give it a good test run first mind you as some reports sound problematic with this stuff.

Yes Gary, I've read that some people have had problems with it. Sounds like it has a fairly short shelf life and needs to be stored at a cool temperature. Unfortunately I have no idea how long it sits on the suppliers shelf before shipping. I'll feed back on how I get on.
