Has anyone experience with these kind of guides?

I use them on some of my rods, nice light and flexible guides.. If you are going to use sinking lines on they are not the best idea, because some tend to groove them.. Never happend to me but i don't fish sinkink lines that often.. Also the noise, if you are going to use them on a more modern thin walled lightweight blank be prepared for them to sing in combination with some lines.. Lightest option around..

Thanks Jerry
I intend to use recoil guide on a light blank but i'm not sure about wear resistance. New black pearl finish should be more durable.

I have them on a few rods and used them on a few customer rods. They are definitely light. They are definitely flexible if you are an abuser. I've had a few times where the guides were bent completely flat to the blank because the rod got stuck against something.

That said, I'm not a big fan. They sing with any lines I own or have used through them. It helps when they are wet, but that means constantly dipping the rod or at least keeping the tip in the water. I used them on a Dan Craft Sig V 4 wt with a really nice set of cork and an REC reel seat. It was one of my two 'splurge' rods and it is incredibly light weight and responsive. To do it again though, I'd use lightwire single foot guides in small sizes.

Wear resistance has been no problem for me and I've used floating, sinking, and leadcore through it. I have had 2 guides break though, right where the guide enters the thread wraps. I'm not sure why they broke.

Thanks,
Rick

I specified them on a LORHIC blank made up by Chas Burns - To date after 3years no problems with wear and they certainly seem to bring the best out of the rod.
