Default Auction prize taken at Goldengrovecottages

Last year at the Monnow social FlyBri from this forum put up a superb weeks break at his fabulous cottage Golden Grove Cottages - A break with us...
Well we arranged a date when i could stay and that happened to be the week just gone.
All i can say is what a great week we had in West Wales.
The cottage was superb with everything you could need for a weeks stay including little touches like Welshcakes and basic food items to get you settled in.
The bedrooms were huge and the cottage was finished to a v high standard.
There was even a ps2 for my lad to play on
We had great weather so there was loads to do with the family with fantastic beaches within easy striking distance and places like Oakwood close to.
Of course there is some of the finest Seatrout rivers right on your doorstep and i managed to get out a couple of times and although i did not hook up there were huge fish in some of the pools i fished and one of the guys i fished with had a great 6lb + Seatrout but then he is one of the finest Seatrout anglers alive so i did not feel to bad that i blanked.
So if anyone is looking for a great place to take a British holiday that will suit families as well as fisherman look no further then Brians place.
We will be back next year all going well when i willl take the swffing roads with me as well because there are some tasty marks i found that screamed fish.

If Steffan fishes half as well as he writes he could well make a fisherman yet. Where is he incidentally? He hasn't assaulted us with any fish porn for a while.

Having stayed at Brian's cottage a few times I can atest to how pleasant and handy to the rivers it is. The neighbours are pretty good too.

Thank you very much, Brian for putting it into our auction.

I've been all to busy lately so only just seen this.
Thanks for the post Toby - that's really kind and it was a pleasure to have you the family over with us.
Likewise, is a pleasure to help the MFA with their worthwhile work which I've seen the fruits of on their wonderful rivers.

BTW, I don't think that lucky fisherman was Steff - think it might have been another well known angler...

Cheers
Bri
