Default Auction of Collection of Trout, Salmon and Coarse Equipment

Last autumn Richard Dodds, a good fiend of mine and fisher of the Monnow and other border rivers and streams, passed away. He loved the Monnow and would often turn out to help on work parties despite being not so good on his pins. I suppose you never know quite how much kit another fisherman has and when his widow suggested that we might like to sell it in aid of the Monnow I was only expecting the odd rod and reel so imagine my surprise when I found this lot

Much of the kit is in excellent order. It is the classic case of not letting the wife sell the kit for what she thinks he paid for it!

A few of the lots have changed so if you are planning to travel far do PM to check.

The auction is on Sunday 9th may at 2.30pm, viewing from 1.00pm at the Cross Keys Pub, Withington, Herefordshire HR1 3NN.

If you are interested in any of the lots and can not make it to the auction then I can give you more details and I am happy to bid on your behalf, providing you are prepared to pay the postage in addition to the hammer price and I will forward the lot on the receipt of a cleared cheque.

Bid up it is for a good cause – www.monnow.org !
