Another Bash!

Following on from the very successful weekend at the beginning of July, when 40 volunteers joined the fight and hand pulled Himalayan Balsam along over 7kms of the river Monnow, we have arranged another three days of pulling on Saturday 30th, Sunday 31st July and Friday 5th of August. Meeting a 10.00am at the Bridge Inn, Kentchurch HR2 0BY on all 3 days. This will enable us to cover even more new ground, following the initial spraying and really make a big difference in our fight to eradicate HB in the Monnow catchment.

If you can join us on any, all or part of these days, let me know by; PM, email or ‘phone or just turn up in the morning – you’ll be made very welcome.

Many thanks to all who have supported us so far.

Hi Rob, we've met previously at WTT AGT in Pandy.

I joined the MRA shortly after, and I'm keen to help and learn (time permitting). I've only just recently got back onto Flyfishing Forum. Sorry I missed the last outing. I was sort of hoping that by joining MRA there would be a mail out of events, get togethers, work party dates etc, but it would seem that the forum is where it happens.....now I know

Anyway, I'd be keen to hear of any future dates/plans on the Monnow. I fished a brook in the Forest of Dean (WUF R60) with my son last weekend....jungle fishing more like it and sad to see it rife with HB!

Look forward to hearing from you

Simon

Just a reminder of what the Auction is all about ,the work done by MRA on the lovely monnow system is an example of what should happen to many of our fisheries up and down the land .
Keep on bidding folks its all to a good cause and ,those that visit the system will find true welcome.
