Ladies and Gentlemen, I am stunned to report that in less than two weeks we will already be fishing or wending our way to the Monnow valley for one of the great fishing events of the year. Where has the time gone.

For those that are not yet familiar, here is the link that started it off for this year. There are a few places left if you want to be part of a very special weekend on a great river. Each year we have got a number of none river fishermen started and others improved (still working on TM). If you are thinking about it don't delay book today!

I am happy to arrange fishing on upper tribs and perhaps some new found beats once againfor those that can wangle the Friday. But you must let me know that you are coming - no good just turning up and hoping- by PM, email or 'phone. As usual we will meet at the Crown at Longtown at 10.00am to divy up the beats.

For the rest we will see you all later in the afternoon at the campsite, where there will be lots of local, untouched fishing available for you try, whilst the rest of us look on and offer helpful tips to you, sotto voce.

If you are really unlucky, Saturday night might once again include the auction so if you have any odds and wonderful sods that you want me to sell to Tigermoth or anybody else that f@rts do bring them along.
