You can really see the difference! Sorry, but you can!!
The first thing to say about these glasses is that the quality of genuine Polaroid Polarized lenses compared to cheap versions is immediately apparent.
I was tempted to write that you can really see the difference! Sorry, but you can. Genuine Polaroid lenses block glare reflected from the water, deliver 100 per cent UV protection, and are impact and shatter-resistant.Although the design is a full wrap-round, there did not seem to be any noticeable distortion.
There was no unwanted light coming in from the side or behind. The glasses have ventilated nose grips, made of soft durable rubber, which should help to eliminate fogged lenses and “gentle-grip rubber arms” for a comfortable and secure fit. They are light weight and very comfortable to wear.
The sample glasses had grey lenses which provide excellent all-round vision helping you see below the surface, even into deep water and generally enhance colour perception in mixed weather conditions. Also they don’t distort colours of plants and vegetation and so on. As good as the lenses are in this colour, I still want a pair of Polaroids with copper lenses.
Prices start from a very reasonable £48.99 (including VAT and delivery) and a protective hard case. Good value.
The Polaroid 2009 sports sunglass collection is available from independent opticians Specsavers, National Travel retail shops, and selected ferry operators nationwide. To buy online go to www.polaroidsunglasses.co.uk.
