DVD Review

As per the other DVD’s in this series it is well constructed and easy to watch. It contains both clear instruction for the tying of, and demonstration of the ways to fish, Big Dry Flies for Fast Water. Oliver Edward's presenting style is straight forward without complicated explanations and allows the viewer to get straight into the subject matter.

The DVD runs for just over 2 hours 20 minutes. The demonstrations of both fishing methods and tying the flies are as normal with Oliver Edwards and DPG Productions, very clear and concise.

The fishing methods demonstrated are:-

• Upstream fishing with the Klinkhåmer and variant; the Balloon Caddis and the Tape Wing Caddis.
• Fishing the Duo or 'Klink and Dink'.
• Downstream Dump Casting.

The Patterns demonstrated with the usual clarity are The Klinkhåmer Special LT Version as per Hans Van Klinken and an Oliver Edwards Bluebottle version; The Balloon Caddis as per Roman Moser and the Oliver Edwards Tape Wing Caddis.

The dressing lists are in the small booklet that comes with the DVD together with a short history and background to the Klinkhåmer.
