Movers & shakers in the English/Welsh Sea Trout river league

Fish&Fly takes a close look at the 21st century sea trout rod catches from rivers in England and Wales. The signs are generally negative with an alarming downward trend. However the trend from 1990 (see charts) shows that sea trout catches steadily climbed up to the good years between 1999-2002 and are steadily falling from there. Some rivers are bucking the downward trend but their low catches mean this is not particularly significant - click on the headers of the table below to re-order the figures to make your own judgments. The rivers are ranked on the basis of their average catch this millennium.
