So many opposing views on 12#! I don't particularly want to take one if its not needed. Avalon suggest an 11# but that seems a compromise. Having said that, I can see sense in 2 10#'s. One set up for permit, the other baracuda etc. Or a 10# and an 11# might be suitable then for tarpon, cudas, etc. I need to make my mind up as im going on the 9 Mar! How much for a rod? Maybe a reel as well, although my big danielsson should be fine. Thanks for all your help. David
