Default Old trout has just landed on FFF

Just joined the forum and this is my first post, hope to be getting back into fly fishing after a long absence due to work and ill health. Approx 5 yrs since I last casted a line out into the water. Hope its like riding a bike...you never forget

Recuparating just now from a major op and can't go out just now, but now also being newly retired I can go fishing when I want and now when work commitments dictate your life. Such a lot of useful info on this site I need to get meself up to speed with new flies/gear etc.

tightlines

Killie

Glad to have you! I'm a relative newb here myself, but I'm sure you'll find all the advice you need, and the odd rant too!

Ah, being able to go fishing when you want... what a blessing. You can catch the river when it's at exactly the right level, not just head out on the weekend and hope for the best. Hope your recuperation goes well and you can get out soon.

Neil

Welcome aboard Killie, I've started fishing again after a long absence myself so just learning the new tactics & tackle myself, things have changed quite a bit
