Smile Hello there !

Hi to you all.

42yr old novice with the fly , but loving every minute learning.

I'm from just outside of Kirkintilloch , near Glasgow and my local water is the Kelvin , Glazert , Luggie , Carron and a few other various local reservoirs.

Tight Lines !

Thumbs up

Hi there.

Only been a member for a short time but have already found the information and opinions on these forums to be immeasureably handy.

Jim , I'm actually fae Twechar - ( hence the 'beach caster' cognomen ), and I think you're fae up the 'Nauld way , so it would be nice to hear from the local anglers as to which of my local waters I should be concentrating on.
I've been out at Banton , but I genuinely think I'm wasting my time there as I've never really enjoyed the reservoirs etc , but it's handy to try to improve my sloppy casting.

It's great tae be here.

Ed.

...can take the boy oot of twechar...but you cant take Twechar oot the boy
A wee FYI Jim , a lot of the younger village boys ( in their 20s ) have took up serious Pike fishing down the canal now..rod pods , alarms etc , happy to see that instead of them causing bother etc.
