Goosey is on a distinguished road
Default Hello from Kent, UK

Hi all, I'm Peter Gander (Goosey) and found the FFF through a sea fishing site. My dad has never been impressed until now that I didn't follow in his footsteps and take up (coarse) fishing, but about 5 years ago on a Center Parcs holiday a friend and I did half a day's fly-fishing tuition and a session on a lake somewhere near Thetford. A glorious day, we discussed nymphs over a cuppa in a fancy hotel then had casting lessons on the lawn afterwards. Once we had the jist, we ventured onto the water and both came back to the family barbecue armed with supper! Needless to say, after that we remained hooked. Since then moved from Hertfordshire (fished the Rib Valley lakes, Norton and others). Now live on North Kent coast so do a spot of sea fishing too. BTW I am a designer/artist by trade and saw a logo I had designed years ago for Ian Woods' ('Grommit') fishing goods company, on this very site, which he now uses as his avatar! Small world. Anyway, a great site, full of good tips and interesting stories and not too many negative types!

Hi Peter,
Welcome to the forum! They're a friendly bunch on here, always interested in anything to do with fly fishing; and sometimes, other topics, but always ready to learn something new!!

Looking forward to reading some of your posts!

Regards.

Mostyn
