Default May I introduce myself

Hello. I've been enjoying and learning from the posts on this for a while and so have just registered.

I hope I've posted this in the correct forum?

To introduce myself, I'm keen although newish to fly fishing having been learning the art for the last three years, after a very long gap when my grandfather used to take me! To date this has mostly been on spring fed stocked stillwaters although I also had a momorable weekend at friend's in the Assynt fishing lochs and small rivers last May.

This coming season I hope to spend more time fishing rivers and would very much welcome any advice on moving from mostly stillwaters to rivers. I have a day on a chalk stream in April/May and would like to make the most of it.

Appreciate any advice.

Regards
Somerset

Many thanks for the warm welcome and apologies for mis posting...still finding my way around and not joined a discussion group before. Please bear with me.

Thank you for the advice and to answer your question yes I do live in Somerset on the border with Dorset, although I also like the name!
