Default just saying hello

i am going to start fly fishing again after a long break from the sport , nearly 20 years !
dont suppose much has changed in that time , except on the tackle front . i am going to be fishing a variety of waters , a local reservoir , a river and also in the sea for mullet .
i am thinking of buying a 10-11ft # 6 weight outfit and have been looking at the "switch type of rod " do any of you use one and what is your view of them . i like the longer front handle as it would make it more comfortable to hold when fishing . as to what make i cant decide but if i had to put a price band £ 250 would be ok , any suggestions !

Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
You may want to think about a 7# if your going to be doing saltwater fishng and reservoir, may just give you that little bit more.
Just my thought.
Where abouts in the world are you?

i live in the Yeovil area so not far from Sutton Bingham and reasonable distance to the coast . i think i shall end up buying a couple of rods , one for the trout and a heavier one for the sea although i still want to try a switch type rod as it might just do both if i get a #7 weight . i can see disadvantages as well as advantages with these longer rods .
