I have just joined this excellent forum this evening to find out what's new since I left flyfishing for a few years.
I'm a Scot and spent my early years trouting on the Clyde, the Annan and Tweed and for the past thirty years I have fished the southern chalkstreams in Hampshire in conjunction with several trips to Yellowstone and Japan.
My passion for fine American bamboo rods and reels had not wained as my fishing buddies always kept in touch. I still have my tackle so I'll buy some new lines and venture out for some Grayling in the next few weeks and see how it goes.
My favourite graphite rod is a Russ Peak Zenith and I fancy trying a few glass rods next season so I have just purchased a Mike McFarland custom taper this evening which has got me rather excited.
Anyway enough, it's nice to be here.
Cordially,
James
