Best tip I can give you Ste is 1. DO NOT get tempted into buying a kit. 2. decide what flies you want to start with-choose something rather easy to tie that won't require many materials..i.e. gold-ribbed hare's ear, pheasant tail nymph or perhaps a woolly ******. 3. Contact a trade member like Grommit on this forum who has quality tools and materials and they won't charge the earth either. You'll need essentials like hooks, etc. but once you have an idea of what flies you want to start with you can then organise your equipment to begin tying. Have a great time as you'll enjoy tying flies and the feeling you get when that first fish takes a fly you tied yourself is out of this world!Oh and by the way WELCOME TO THE FORUM!
