Default A quick introduction.

Hello to you all, I have just joined the site after a member refered me to it on another forum that I belong to. My main love is saltwater fly fishing on the south coast of England aswell as a bit of pike fly fishing. This certainly looks to be a great site and I will enjoy having a good browse!

Regards

Jay

welcome Jay. Tried fly casting for pike for the first time on Sunday on my local canal, but unfortunately nothing doing. Never tried saltwater fly fishing yet, but it sounds good. Look forward to reading your posts. Byron

Thankyou for the welcome Byron, it's a bit of a ghost town in the introduction section isn't it!

Hi Rick, thanks for the welcome. It certainly gets the heart pounding when you hook into a good'un, saying that, hooking into a good mullet gives you just as much of a thrill as they can charge off like a freight train! what part of the states are from?

Jay

I live in the Midwest in the State of Iowa. I flyfish for Largemouth Bass - BlueGill and Crappie are considered panfish. Now and then I catch a catfish or carp by accident. Biggest cat was 11 1/2 pounds which was a blast on the flyrod. Trout Streams are in Northeast Iowa which I just came back from. Its a 3 1/2 hour drive. I love tying flies and fishing for trout also.

A fair old drive to the trout then! My brother was in Iowa a couple of months ago on a business trip, he lives full time in Denver (not sure what the fishings like out that way?). Hope your fishing trip went well.

Regards

Jay
